Five minutes with...Sabina Ciubuc of Atemi
This month's quickfire Q&A comes courtesy of Sabina Ciubuc, commercial director at Atemi
Q: What makes Atemi a great partner for affiliates?
Atemi has years of experience backing up our expertise as well as constantly working on improving every aspect of our business. We commit to long term partnerships and invest in sustainable arrangements that suit the client’s growth ambitions. Atemi advocates full transparency and building trust through close cooperation.
Q: What do enjoy most about your job?
Atemi is rapidly expanding and that allows me to explore business development opportunities, new verticals and channels. This makes my job a never-ending source of inspiration and challenges me on a daily basis. I also have the chance to meet and work with great people within the industry.
Q: If you could give one piece of advice to an aspiring affiliate manager, what would it be?
Be dedicated to your strategic partnerships. Make the effort to learn about the way your client operates and what optimisation processes would be mutually beneficial. Stay informed about industry news and trends so you’re always one step ahead.
Q: Who would play you in the movie about your life?
My colleague said Elizabeth Olsen. I’ll take that.
Q: What’s your karaoke song of choice?
Any Coldplay song. Multiple performances.
Q: Which one thing can’t you live without?
The iPhone. My family is spread all over the world. It helps me stay connected.

Q: Who would you most like to be stuck in an elevator with?
J.K. Rowling. She created a whole world from scratch. That kind of imagination and determination is fascinating to me.
Q: Where would you time travel to and why?
I would love to experience the 20’s social scene. I watched The Great Gatsby again recently, that’s why.

Q: What is your favourite TV programme?
There are many I find captivating for the season such as Casa del Papel, but I always go back to the way too familiar Friends to leave on as background.
Q: What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
Online shopping. I have one too many candles and phone cases from midnight Amazon sprees.

Q: If you won the lottery, what would you spend the money on?
I would invest in property and fill them with candles apparently.
Q: Name one place everyone should visit before they die.
I’ll be super biased here, but it’s my home country Moldova. It has the world’s largest wine cellar so basically a massive underground city filled with wine. Enough said.
