Five minutes with... Irene Zwols
This month's quickfire Q&A comes courtesy of Pinnacle's affiliate operations team leader

Q: What is your favourite way to relax?
A: Spending a day on the beach with friends.
Q: If you could work for any other business, which would it be?
A: I would like to be a lawyer as I’d love to be able to defend people. On the other hand, maybe I’ve just watched too many episodes of Suits.
Q: Which three people would you invite to your dinner party?
A: I’d invite my parents and my sister. They live in the Netherlands and it would be great to see them a bit more often.
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A: Be where your feet are. Focus on what you’re doing now instead of thinking about the past or focusing too much on the future.
Q: Who is your business idol?
A: A popular choice, perhaps, but I’m always impressed by Sir Richard Branson who started very small and now seems to have a good time managing his empire.
Q: What makes a good affiliate manager?
A: Besides knowing what you’re talking about, I think you should always listen to your affiliates, see their potential, help them out and try to get the best commercial success for them.
Q: Describe what it is like to work for Pinnacle.
A: Working at Pinnacle is like working with family. Everyone is always willing to help you out and share their expertise.
Q: What is top of your bucket list?
A: To write a book!
Q: Which one place would you most like to visit and why?
A: It’s so hard to just choose one place, however I would really like to visit New Zealand because of its beautiful scenery.
Q: If you could have any super power for a day, what would it be and why?
A: How nice would it be if I could fly – I could just go wherever I wanted anytime.
Q: What is your favourite book?
A: I’ve read so many books so it’s hard to pick just one favourite. However I love a good thriller – Nicci French and Lars Kepler both write the best, in my humble opinion.
