A quick pace
When it comes to either placing a bet or cashing out a win, speed is of the essence and operators have been tirelessly working away in-house to make the process quicker and simpler.
Following in the footsteps of Siri and Cortana, the egaming sector has taken a chance on voice activated betting in a bid to stay ahead of the curve.
Unibet and Greek operator Stoiximan were the first to look at voice recognition technology, followed more recently by Betfred, which launched a voice-activated mobile app tailored specifically for the Euros.
According to Unibetâs head of sportsbook Erik Backlund, voice betting is designed to simplify the betting process, enabling punters to place bets much quicker without the need to scroll through various screens and menus.
âBy enabling the customer to interact naturally, the app removes some of the frictions associated with traditional web and app interfaces, giving our customers the best possible experience,â said Backlund.
While placing a bet is now quicker, BetVictor has been working on speeding up the cash out process. It claims its new Quick Cash Out function is the fastest way in the industry to cash out a bet.
The product, which was developed in-house, puts the option to cash out in a customerâs iPhone Notifications area, which is accessible from the iOS home screen.
BetVictor claims the new journey allows customers to cash out their bet two seconds after making the decision to do so, cutting around six second off the old process.
The operator said the product, which is available on iOS phones and tablets, reinforces BetVictorâs commitment to bringing an âintuitive, simple, best-of-breed betting experience to its customersâ.
The firmâs head of sportsbook product Eoin Ryan added: âQuick Cash Out is sure to prove a huge hit with our native iOS app using customers who already enjoy using our cash out service.
âWe know that in those crucial moments, hitting that cash out button as quickly as possible is vital and Quick Cash Out means we now have the quickest journey in the entire industry.â
All these innovations show the strength in in-house development and innovation as well as the importance of making the customer journey a fast and easy experience using the latest technology.
