Tipp24 appoints new CMO
Dr Helmut Becker has been on operator's supervisory board since mid-2011.
German operator Tipp24 has announced the appointment of Dr Helmut Becker as its chief marketing officer.
Dr Becker, who has been on the company’s supervisory board since 2011 and has also sat on the board of social network Xing AG since 2009, fills the role vacated by Petra von Strombeck when the former CMO left to head up spin-off business Lotto24 last year.
He joins CEO Dr Hans Cornehl and recently appointed CFO Andreas Keil on the executive board of Tipp24, as the company prepares to seek shareholder approval over a proposed relocation to London.
The operator also brought in former Ladbrokes director of ecommerce and mobile Paul Witten this year as head of business development for its UK subsidiary.
Dr Becker has previously served in a number of roles with eBay Germany, after beginning his career as a consultant with McKinsey.
CEO Dr Hans Cornehl said of the new appointment: “Dr Helmut Becker has many years of in-depth experience in the international online sector and is already well known to the company due to his seat on our Supervisory Board.
“Dr Becker will make an ideal addition to our Executive Board. We look forward to developing Tipp24’s international business together with him.”
