Webis launches Quickfire Poker on MPN
Non-download offering accessible through betinternet site
Power 50 operator Webis has become the first partner to go live with the Microgaming-powered, fast-fold Quickfire Poker offering.
Available through a poker tab on the operator’s betinternet sportsbook page, the offering will share liquidity with other operators on the MPN. Microgaming has not yet revealed whether some of the high-profile operators on the MPN, like Ladbrokes, Stan James and Unibet, will launch the Quickfire product, though fast-fold offering Heads Up 8 Man Blaze was launched across the network this month.
Webis managing director Garry Knowles said “Although betting on sports is the primary activity for betinternet’s customers, we know that our customers also like the occasional hand at a poker table”. Quickfire’s live dealer and games products are already available on the betinternet site.
Head of Quickfire, Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, expressed his “delight” at securing Webis as the first operator to take on Quickfire Poker, saying “it will be an excellent addition to their sportsbook site”.
Betinternet was responsible for more than 70% of Webis’ turnover in the first half of the 2012-13 financial year, following a pledge in July 2012 to “invest in the future” of the brand. Its Quickfire Poker offering becomes the second new addition to the MPN in recent weeks following Paf’s launch at the end of last month.
