BTwiice appoints former Boylesports CEO Richardson
Lee Richardson joins the sports betting software provider as a non-executive director
UK Gambling Commission-licensed BTwiice has announced the appointment of Lee Richardson as a non-executive director.
Richardson, who is currently CEO of gaming consultancy specialist Gaming Economics, has over 15 years’ experience in the online sports betting industry and has previously held senior positions at Tote, Coral-Eurobet, Boylesports and ONEworks.
Speaking with eGaming Review, BTWiice co-founder Julien Cunze said that Richardson would be an important addition to the company as it looks to bring its new sports betting insurance initiative to the market.
“Lee has already brought his deep knowledge and experience of the betting industry to improve the robustness of our service and business,” he said. “Lee’s legitimacy and connections in the industry will be a key element in the success of our fundraising and the launch of BTwiice.”
The sports betting software provider, which was incorporated in November 2011, aims to provide bookmakers with a turnkey and risk-free solution to exploit the current cash-out trend associated with in-running betting for bookmakers, so as to provide betting insurance to players.
BTwiice has yet to commence trading but Cunze said that the appointment of Lee Richardson would help the firm achieve the £300,000 required to go live and achieve profitability.
Richardson, who spent five months as CEO of Boylesports before leaving in August 2010, said he was “delighted to have joined BTwiice, and helping them at their vital stage of business development and growth”.
