Metro Play names Walters as managing director
Walters is currently executive director at the DMG-owned gaming brand
Alderney-licensed Metro Play has announced that current executive director Jamie Walters has been appointed as the new managing director of the operator.
Walters will take up his new role in October as part of a reshuffle which will see Rory Miller-Cheevers become the brand’s head of commercial for the business.
“Since launch Metro Play is off to a great start; rapidly expanding in terms of its customer base, products and staff numbers,” Walters said. “I’m looking forward to focusing fully on this fast growing, mobile-led business and driving forward with our ambition of being the UK’s number one mobile gaming brand.”
Walters also hinted at the brand hiring further staff in the future. “A key focus for us at the moment is on hiring additional talent to add to our outstanding team, and to continue to build on our product offering.”
Previously known as ME Gaming, a former GTECH-powered white label offering, was relaunched as a mobile-focused operator last month by DMG Media. Following the launch, the firm announced it was to pursue an advertising campaign targeting commuters across the UK.
