Unibet revamps desktop website
Operator takes the lead from mobile as it re-skins main website to bring continuity across its platforms
Swedish-listed operator Unibet has revamped its desktop website, bringing the design in line with its mobile and tablet products.
Changes to the website, which took less than three months to implement, include a visual redesign and the repositioning of the login area with improved usability for self-service features.
Speaking with eGaming Review, head of UX design and delivery Ana Cave-Wood said the changes were introduced to bring a familiar, yet innovative and striking look to consumers.
“Unibet’s customers have not received a new look and feel since 2007, so they deserved a modern makeover,” she said. “Getting the building blocks in place for a big change has taken a while but our customer can now look forward to a lot more.”
“Our goal is, and will remain, ensuring we define, design, and develop experiences our customers have told us they love,” Cave-Wood added.
The product iconography and general new look, which was designed in-house by the UX and design team, was already in-place on its mobile and tablet platforms and has been applied to over 30 of the operator’s sites.
The redesign comes after Unibet appointed Martin Stalros to head of poker, following the resignation of predecessor Steve Cutler who left the operator last week for personal reasons.
Unibet recently announced a goal to achieve a top five position in the UK sports betting market after a 7% increase in H1 2013 profits to £29.1m.
