Bonza launches first real-money casino app
Real-money Bonza Casino app released on Facebook today as firm looks to target new demographic on the social network
Alderney-licensed Bonza Gaming has launched its first real-money online casino product on Facebook, eGaming Review can reveal.
Bonza Casino went live today after it launched with four standard casino and six slots games which maintain a similar design to the slots app, with the same tiles and navigation in an effort to appeal to the operator’s existing customer base.
Speaking with eGR, CEO Rick Brownlow said the launch of a real-money casino product on Facebook was in line with the company’s long term business plans to diversify its product offering.
“It was always our idea to create a very slots-specific application and then launch a specific casino application which we think will be aimed at different customer bases,” Brownlow said.
“We’ve got a lot of customers who have come into the slots application where we were targeting casino players who have probably come in, had a little play but thought this doesn’t really give them the breadth of product they wanted because they’re used to playing off-canvas.”
“Now we’ve got the casino application we can then drive them to that side,” he added. “So we’ve got a cross-sell existing base and we also hope to appeal to a whole new audience out there.”
Last month the operator launched its first branded game South Park on its real-money Bonza Slots app on Facebook which Bonza said was part of a customer acquisition push to appeal to a younger male audience.
Bonza Gaming was formed in December 2012 following a joint venture between social casino start-up Plumbee and egaming operator Sportingbet, which sold its 50% stake to Unibet earlier this year. Bonza launched its Facebook slots app in February this year and was at the time the third operator to offer a real-money product on the social network.
