Poll: Can 2014 be the year for RMG on Facebook?
In this week's poll eGaming Review asks readers for their opinion on the potential for growth from real-money apps on the social network
This month social gaming giant Zynga quietly launched ZyngaPlusPoker on Facebook, the first real-money poker product to debut on the social network.
It’s due to be followed soon by the full launch of Paddy Power’s In-Play app but operators to-date have found little joy from Facebook and nobody yet seems to have cracked the code for monetising RMG on the social network.
The San Francisco-based company followed in the footsteps of 888, Paddy Power, Bonza and Gamesys, who was the first operator to launch RMG on Facebook back in 2012 and looks set to continue this strategy after the recent launch of its Virgin-branded poker app.
In 2013 Paddy Power beta-launched the first social sports betting app on the social network which is expected to get a full-release ahead of a new marketing campaign scheduled for the Q1 of this year.
And with bwin.party also expected to launch its F2P social sports betting by the end of Q1, there seems to be no shortage of enthusiasm for RMG on the Facebook platform.
So in this week’s pool we ask eGaming Review readers whether 2014 is the year operators finally succeed through real-money gambling on Facebook?
