Betdigital receives takeover bids
eGaming Review sources confirm games content and platform provider has received numerous offers including from one major supplier
Games content and platform integration specialist Betdigital has received numerous takeover offers in recent months including one from a top-tier supplier, eGaming Review has learned.
The Oxford-based company, which was founded in 2011 and employs more than 20 staff, is understood to have received several bids with both B2B and B2C firms making up the interested parties.
No offer, however, has been accepted to date and sale discussions are ongoing, eGR sources have confirmed.
UK and Alderney-licensed Betdigital designs and develops its own casino content for mobile, web, interactive TV and retail operators.
The other core part of the business focuses on retail integration projects, working with suppliers such as GTECH, NetEnt and NextGen to distribute their games content directly to betting shops.
Sources claim the firm could be an attractive acquisition for an operator with an online and offline presence given its proprietary technology which allows for rapid cross-platform integration.
One source who preferred not be named, said a major European supplier had made a bid for Betdigital, which he said would be a “great fit” for both parties.
