Betway to introduce cash out functionality
Operator joins host of rivals with new real-time cash out feature as it embarks on telephone marketing strategy
UK-licensed operator Betway is preparing to launch a new cash out feature to its flagship sports betting product in the coming weeks, eGaming Review has learned.
A customer services person for Betway said the functionality was undergoing “final testing” to ensure it operates smoothly and said the firm expected to roll-out the feature “shortly”.
Cash out will be available on singles, multiples of up to six selections and system bets on both selected pre-match and in-play markets via a new green cash out icon.
Betway joins rival sportsbook operators such as Betfair, bet365 and Paddy Power in offering the feature, which was first launched by the now defunct IG Index sports betting subsidiary extrabet back in 2008.
Earlier this year William Hill extended its cash out feature, Cash In My Bet, to its HTML5 web product and mobile sports betting app while a launch on Betway’s mobile products is also expected at a later date.
The news follows a major marketing push by Betway including an advertising campaign for its new Betway Bingo product, the latest in a series of adverts to be released in partnership with creative agency Above+Beyond.
Betway has also embarked on a telephone marketing strategy with customer service advisors making calls to customers in order to inform them of special offers available on their accounts as well as leaving automated Betway voicemail messages to its sportsbook customers.
