Bet365 stretches lead in Oddschecker rankings
November stats show bet365 inching further ahead of Betfair while William Hill closes gap on third-placed BetVictor
Bet365 has extended its lead at the top of Oddschecker’s monthly bet slip click rankings for November following a month which saw the top ten positions remain unchanged.
The operator secured an overall slip click market share of 19.18%, an increase on the 18.73% it amassed in October, with the figure enough to see it increase its lead over long-term Oddschecker rival Betfair.
Second-placed Betfair’s market share remained stable at 17.88%, compared to last month’s 17.84%, after a slight decline in its exchange (14.48%) was balanced out by small growth in its sportsbook product (3.4%).
While BetVictor remained in third place, the gap to fourth placed William Hill was almost halved over the course of the month as BetVictor fell back from 12.09% to 10.53% while William Hill climbed from 7.87% to 8.21%.
Paddy Power (7.92%), Coral (6.35%), Ladbrokes (6.32%), Sky Bet (5.69%), Stan James (3.01%) and Betfred (2.7%) all held on to their respective positions from fifth down to tenth.
Despite a decline in its overall share, BetVictor continued its dominance of UK football markets as it claimed a 19.82% of all slip clicks, more than nearest challengers Betfair (15.43%) and bet365 (13.98%).
Rugby union’s Autumn internationals benefitted Betfair as it took a 14.64% share of the market, with Ladbrokes (12.06%) and bet365 (11.18%) next in line.
Meanwhile, Ladbrokes topped the charts for political betting in a month which saw a spike in bet numbers due to the Rochester and Strood by-election. The Magic Sign claimed almost a third of all slip clicks with 29.71% with Betfair (21.75%) and Paddy Power (11.76%) in second and third place respectively.
