Bwin.party technology chief departs
Guy Duncan leaves the firm after two years to join Amsterdam-based payment processor PayU
Bwin.party is on the hunt for a new chief technology officer (CTO) after Guy Duncan left the firm earlier this month, eGaming Review can reveal.
Duncan joined bwin.party back in January 2013 and was responsible for overseeing the operator’s technology platform and product development.
He has moved on to take up the CTO role at Amsterdam-based payment processing firm PayU, having previously held technology roles a tech-engineering firm Valtech.
A bwin.party spokesman confirmed to eGR it was “currently in the process of appointing a successor” and was “hoping to make an announcement shortly”.
“In the interim we have every confidence in the strong management team that is leading our technology business,” the spokesman said.
“We wish guy every success in the future and thank him for the outstanding contribution he made to the business,” the spokesman added.
The news comes after bwin.party said it expects to pay approximately 15m in VAT during 2015 following recent changes made to how the levy on electronic services is applied within European Union member states.
