WhichBingo unveils debut TV ad campaign
Bingo comparison site launches first TV advertisement backed by a "large media budget" to coincide with release of newly revamped website
Online bingo comparison brand site WhichBingo launched its debut TV advertising campaign with a “large media budget” on a number of Sky channels yesterday to promote with the launch of a new website.
The bingo affiliate has partnered with Leeds-based media agency HOME to develop the 30-second TV ad which will run for an eight-week period.
WhichBingo also recently unveiled a new mobile and tablet-optimised website featuring a redesigned homepage and improved navigation with new features set to be added in the coming weeks.
“As the market develops and matures, we need to move with it,” Phil Fraser, CEO and owner of WhichBingo, told eGaming Review this morning.
“We need to create WhichBingo as a brand, rather than just another affiliate, and following agencies pitches, it was agreed that TV was best way to do this,” he added. “WhichBingo is a market leader in the sector and this is simply the next step in our retaining and reinforcing that position.”
The launch of WhichBingo’s new advert comes as bingo operators continue to pour money into TV advertising with a total spend by online bingo brands on TV advertising in 2014 of £48.4m, according to figures from data company Nielsen.
Cumulative spend has increased 15% since 2012 and of the £48.4m expenditure, just five companies account for 70% of the total spend.
