Luckbox promotes from within to fill CEO role
Toronto-listed esports operator taps chief customer officer Thomas Rosander for top job
Esports betting operator Luckbox has promoted chief customer officer Thomas Rosander to become the group’s new CEO.
Rosander only joined Luckbox in February 2021, having spent three years serving as the CEO of online casino brand Dunder from 2017 to 2020.
The former Mr Green CPO will replace the outgoing Quentin Martin, who has voluntarily stepped down from his role as CEO.
Martin spent more than three years with Luckbox, originally joining in March 2018 as chief operating officer before being promoted to CEO in January 2020.
The former The Stars Group GM oversaw Luckbox’s public listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
Rosander said: “I am thrilled to be taking over as CEO and look forward to leading the company as we scale the business.
“We have a talented and experienced team here at Luckbox, and I am confident that we can build on the excellent work done so far under Quentin’s leadership to make Luckbox a world-leading esports betting destination,” he added.
Posting on LinkedIn, Martin wrote: “It has been an absolute privilege and one of the proudest achievements of my life to have taken the organisation from a small, cash-strapped esports betting start-up to a cashed up global public company.”
