Esports odds provider Oddin inks integrity agreement
B2B provider joins forces with Esports Integrity Commission to combat suspicious activity
Esports odds provider Oddin has joined the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) as it looks to combat match-fixing in esports betting.
Under the remit of the partnership, Oddin will become an anti-corruption partner for ESIC and support the body when investigating suspicious betting activity using its data capabilities.
Czech Republic-based Oddin will also work to combat cheating and match-fixing across esports in tandem with the ESIC.
Ian Smith, ESIC commissioner, said: ‘’We are happy to welcome Oddin into our global anti-fraud network. They will help us fight match-fixing practices over the multiple jurisdictions they operate in,” he added.
Marek Suchar, Oddin head of partnerships, commented: “Given the vast growth of the esports industry, we consider this membership of utmost importance since it will give us more trustworthiness and durability to the online gaming industry.”
In January, the ESIC inked a data-sharing partnership with Esports Charts to monitor industry trends.
