Genius Sports, Sportradar and Stats Perform extend European Leagues data partnership
Data giants to provide betting stats for 16 leagues across Europe until 2022
The European Leagues has expanded its data partnership with Genius Sports, Sportradar and Stats Perform to include 16 football leagues to its agreement.
The new deal, which runs through 2022, is an expansion on the original co-operation with the governing body of Europe’s domestic football leagues, which began in 2017.
The non-exclusive agreement gives official betting data partners across the 16 leagues access to in-stadia positions for the live collection of data which can be translated into data services for their customers.
The relationship will see the four parties aim to protect the official league data and also present and utilise said data in ‘new and innovative ways’.
The new leagues that are included in the second multi-league agreement include the Dutch and Portuguese top flights, as well as leagues from across Scandinavia and Eastern Europe.
Jacco Swart, managing director of the European Leagues, said: “This partnership captures one of the key aims of the European Leagues when it comes to providing valuable and innovative services to our member leagues.
“The European Leagues are uniquely positioned to take advantage of opportunities such as these and we look forward to continuing to support the development of our members in relation to league business development,” he added.
