Bwin.party to ramp up UK marketing efforts
Rival operator Coral Interactive also steps up UK efforts with new tennis betting TV ad
Bwin.party announced a one-year sponsorship deal with UK-facing TV channel Dave as the firm begins to ramp up UK marketing for its PartyPoker and PartyCasino brands.
Steve Rodgers, head of acquisition marketing for the bwin.party games labels, said the one-year deal with the UKTV-owned channel was part of a wider marketing push in the competitive UK sector.
“Our positioning fits perfectly with theirs and it’s a great way for us to cut through a crowded marketplace,” Steve Rodgers, head of acquisition marketing for the games labels, said.
“The year-long deal shows our commitment to grow our brands within the UK market and will form a strong base from which we can leverage other marketing activities,” he added.
Meanwhile, Coral Interactive is also set to launch a new advertising campaign produced by marketing agency Big Al’s Creative Emporium to promote the operator’s tennis bet-in-play mobile product.
The 30-second TV advert will be aired across Sky and BT Sports and reunites impressionist Darren Farley and model Carly Baker who have featured in a number of Coral marketing campaigns previously.
“The sport lends itself well to our bet-in-play offer and provides a great opportunity to grow this part of the business,” Olly Raeburn, Coral retail marketing director, said.
“We’ve spent significant time developing our tennis offer and can now bring punters more action than ever before,” he added.
Last week Coral was one of the first operators to launch a UK-facing Apple Watch sportsbook app which was developed by Playtech in an extension to its multi-year Coral Connect contract across retail, online and mobile.
