NYX expands into Italy with latest acquisition
Supplier acquires Rome-based development studio Game360 as route into regulated Italian market
NYX Gaming Group announced plans for a launch in the Italian market after announcing the acquisition of Rome-based development studio Game360 for an undisclosed sum.
The firm said Game360 develops, markets and distributes online gaming content with a focus on native and HTML5 formats and sports betting solutions to over a dozen Italy-facing operators.
NYX said the acquisition of Game360 had been funded through cash on hand, and would allow the supplier to enter the regulated Italian market for the first time.
The supplier said it would be able to deliver its existing portfolio of games these operators, as well as offering Game360 content to its own international client base.
“This acquisition will provide NYX with a solid operational and development base in Italy, with the additional benefit of being able to seamlessly deliver our large portfolio of games already certified for the Italian market,” NYX CEO Matt Davey, said.
“By leveraging the existing relationships developed by Game360 in the Italian market, we will increase our revenue opportunities while expanding our global profile as a leader in content development,” he added.
The deal is NYX’s second major acquisition is as many months, after snapping up Amaya Gaming’s B2B casino platforms Chartwell and Cryptologic for £80m back in April and acquiring Amaya’s Ongame poker network in November last year.
