Sky Bet launches Facebook chatbot recruitment tool
Chatbot to be fronted by Jeff Stelling and used to answer candidates’ questions using artificial intelligence technology
Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has launched what it claims is egaming’s first artificial intelligence chatbot to be used in the recruitment process.
Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling, the face of the new virtual recruitment chatbot, can pose and respond to questions with the use of interactive buttons in chat on the company culture, an applicant’s status, business locations, benefits and social opportunities.
‘Ask Jeff’ uses artificial intelligence and natural language processing to give applicants access to the recruitment process at any time of the day.
It also offers a responsive and interactive experience from the moment an application starts, right through to someone’s first day with the company.
“As a fast-growing tech company that during one eight month period alone recruited over 600 people, we’ve been keen to look at where artificial intelligence can add value to our hiring process,” Matt Hughan, head of recruitment at Sky Betting & Gaming, said.
“Using AI and being able to link with media personality Jeff Stelling will deliver a unique new experience for prospective employees.”
SB&G said the technology will evolve over time as more people use it, while the chatbot will be able to free up more time for its recruitment team to deal with advising recruits at the later stages of a hire.
Last month, Tangelo Games developed a Facebook Messenger chatbot for its gaming platform Best Casino, a move it says will improve customer engagement and experience.
