Mecca Bingo gets front-end overhaul
Rank Group brand switches to responsive site and design across desktop and mobile to put users "in control" of the site
Mecca Bingo has overhauled its front-end with the Rank Group bingo brand rolling out a new responsive site with a number of personalisation features as it continues its multi-channel push in the UK.
The new-look site was made available to several thousand VIP customers last week and all customers will be able to choose between Mecca’s ‘classic site’ and updated site in the coming days.
Rank Group’s customer experience director Caroline Grindrod told eGaming Review the new site puts Mecca’s users “in control of their own experience”.
“We are proudly different to everyone else in the market and we wanted our website to reflect who we are and where we¹re heading as a brand,” Grindrod said.
Aside from harmonising the look and feel of the site across all channels, the new site includes various new features and an updated tone of voice, which will also be reflected in retail bingo clubs.
Customers are able to select the colour theme of the site, as well as store their favourite games in a favourites tab, with preferences saved across all devices and a search bar and new community section has been added.
Mkodo remains the developer of Mecca’s native apps for smartphone and tablet devices however Rank has now taken mobile web development in-house.
The operator confirmed it is in the process of rolling out a similar strategy for its Grosvenor Casino brand in the coming months.
“For us, the launch of the new Mecca Bingo website is just the beginning. We will continue to listen to our users, evolving our offering to further enhance their experience,” Grindrod said.
