Sky Betting & Gaming named eGR Mobile Operator of the Year
BSkyB-owned operator takes home two mobile gongs as LeoVegas, mFortune and PokerStars also land awards at last nightâs ceremony
Sky Betting & Gaming was crowned Mobile Operator of the Year at last nightâs eGaming Review Operator Awards after a successful year for the firm.
The operator also retained the mobile sportsbook product award it won last year in what managing director Richard Flint said was a proud moment for the firm.
âWe were particularly pleased to be recognised for our strength in mobile which has been an area of investment over the last three years,â Flint told sister publication eGaming Review.
The last year has seen Sky Betting & Gaming overhaul its mobile poker app, launch a new Playtech-powered mobile casino to complement its Sky Vegas app and claim an industry first with its addition of TouchID log-in to its mobile portfolio.
The gaming awards went to mobile specialists with mobile-first operator mFortune taking the gong for Mobile Bingo Product to cap a strong year for the firm who were also shortlisted in the headline Casino Operator of the Year category.
Mobile casino specialist LeoVegas was also successful on the night landing the Mobile Casino Product award as it continues to impress on the mobile platform.
PokerStars won the Mobile Poker Product award and Eric Hollreiser, head of corporate communications for the Rational Group, said the firm was âproud to be recognisedâ for the strength of its poker products.
