Paddy Power partners AppDynamics for analytics suite
Irish operator aiming to reduce frequency and duration of app outages
Paddy Power has partnered with app analytics firm AppDynamics in a bid to reduce the frequency and duration of application outages among its mobile product suite.
AppDynamics will supply its Application Performance Management (APM) solution, which generates real-time insight on a mobile appâs performance which are then monitored by Paddy Power to ensure its mobile products perform as and when required.
Paddy Power selected the firm from an open process including several other software providers, and development manager John Turner said its capabilities would allow the operator to shape its digital strategy more accurately.
âIn trials, the solution delivered invaluable insight into application performance issues before they affected our customers, which meant we could act immediately to remedy problems before our punters even knew we had any,â Turner added.
Speaking to eGR Mobile Intelligence this afternoon, Turner said that it would be around a month before Paddy Power truly began to reap the benefits of the new contract but said the analytics capability had already uncovered potential issues.
âFor the World Cup, our recent app attention span study showed⦠that betting platforms canât afford to crash â every millisecond counts,â Jeremy Duggan, VP of EMEA at AppDynamics, said.
âThe need for an APM solution to proactively prevent this â while enhancing customer experience and IT operations â is greater than ever,â Duggan added.
