Bet365 mobile sportsbook revenue doubles
Stoke-based operator also reports âsignificant growthâ in mobile gaming channels
Bet365 posted strong performances in both its mobile sports betting and gaming products in the 12 months ended March 2014, contributing to an 80% jump in company profits.
Figures seen by sister publication eGaming Review revealed the Stoke-based operatorâs mobile sportsbook fared particularly well throughout the period as revenue from the platform more than doubled.
The operator has recently made a number of improvements to its iOS sportsbook such as the addition of live push-alerts for sporting events, while the launch of its first app on the Google Play Store in May will see bet365 expand the reach of its mobile betting products.
The company said its streaming services had helped boost its mobile platforms as it streamed more than 30,000 live sporting events over the course of the year and also broadcasted live audio commentary of football, cricket and horse racing events.
While no precise numbers were divulged regarding bet365âs mobile gaming business, it did report âsignificant growthâ after it launched a number of new products, including mobile poker in September and mobile bingo in January 2014.
