This weekâs round-up includes Betfair adding push messaging to its gaming apps and Winamax launches a mobile-centric ad campaign
Betfair continued to make incremental upgrades and improvements to its portfolio of mobile gaming apps this month by adding push messaging capabilities to its mobile arcade. The operator has long since used push to market special offers and price enhancements to its sportsbook and exchange customers, but this is the first time the capability has been rolled out to one of its gaming apps.
Winamax is to advertise its new mobile poker and sportsbook products through a new advertising drive. The French operatorâs new campaign features monkeys playing on its mobile titles, including the fast-fold Expresso Poker game which completes within five minutes. The operatorâs new sportsbook product, launched last month, has exceeded expectations and gained 5% of the French sports betting market in its first two weeks.
Sports betting affiliate OLBG has upgraded its betting tips app to coincide with the ongoing football World Cup. The new app combines tips from OLBGâs online community with the odds on offer from a number of bookmakers, allowing customers to wager on tipped bets without leaving the app. Released late last month the app has been downloaded 150,000 times and has been placed within the Apple App Storeâs top 10 apps for sports betting.
SBTech signed deals with Net Entertainment, Betsoft Gaming and iSoftBet as it moved to bolster the casino content available on its mobile sports betting and casino platform. The agreements will see the sportsbook provider gain access to a host of mobile-optimised casino games, adding to its existing deal with Microgaming.
New games developer Yoyougaming has released its first title on the Odobo Marketplace. The HTML5 casino game, called Gold Dice, has been designed to appeal to Asian and Eastern European markets and will go live on both bet365 and Betfairâs mobile casino offerings first. âWeâve been impressed by how quickly weâve been able to build this via the Odobo Developer Program,â Kevin Li, MD at Yoyougaming, said.
