Bwin.party continues mobile casino overhaul with IGT deal
Operator to receive access to IGTâs full mobile game library through remote game server deal
Bwin.partyâs overhaul of its mobile casino picked up pace today with the operator signing a deal with International Game Technology to gain access to its full suite of casino games.
As part of the deal bwin.party will integrate with IGTâs remote game server (RGS), allowing them to add casino games from IGTâs suite ofHTML5 titles.
âAdding IGTâs portfolio of instantly recognizable, market-attuned content to our brands including bwin, partypoker and PartyCasino will provide great, additional fun and entertainment for our players,â Golan Shaked, director of games at bwin.party, said.
The operator started the overhaul of its mobile products after CEO Norbert Teufelberger stated that it had fallen behind its rivals on the platform, setting the operator a target of deriving half of its revenue from mobile by the end of 2015.
One key area of concern for Teufelberger was the small number of mobile-optimised casino games it had in its portfolio, with just seven available on its PartyCasino app at the time.
This has since increased and is set to grow further following content deals both with IGT and Williams Interactive, while the operatorâs main sports betting app also recently received a major upgrade.
