This weekâs news includes app updates from BetVictor and Winamax, while Betfred and GVC plot a pre-World Cup mobile push
French poker operator Winamax rolled out a new responsive website design tailored for mobile users. Navigation across the website has been improved allowing users to swipe between different headers, while tabs for the operatorâs popular products including its VIP and Poker School sections have also been added.
BetVictor rolled out new a new app update this week, most notably changing the appâs name to BetVictor Sports, Casino and World Cup Betting, replacing the Grand National tag that had appeared prior to this monthâs Aintree festival. The update also improved the appâs stability and enhanced its horse racing betting products and coupons.
GVC is preparing a number of improvements to its portfolio of mobile products as it looks to prepare for the World Cup and beyond. The firm revealed during its Q1 results earlier this month that mobile turnover for its sports betting brands was now 19% of sportsbook net gaming revenue, and CEO Kenneth Alexander said GVC expects that figure to grow âover the next year or soâ.
Betfair released a new iOS poker application last week as part of the operatorâs âcycle of developmentâ, with various improvements and cosmetic changes made to its other apps. A new uniform style has also been introduced, with logos for each app replaced with new ones featuring Betfairâs distinctive apps, the productâs name and a specific colour.
Betfred was another sports betting operator preparing for this summerâs World Cup by submitting the first of its mobile apps for the Australian market to the North Territory regulator. Betfred hopes to have the apps available for the public next month as part of a push to be recognised as a âmobile bookieâ in the country.
