Playtech rolls-out new bingo software
First B2C brands set to launch on Playtech Bingo's new HTML5-optimised platform in the coming weeks
Playtech Bingo is to begin the roll-out of its new HTML5-optimised platform with a number of the firm’s B2C clients expected to launch on the multi-channel solution in the coming weeks.
Digital marketing firm Send Media’s Sea Bingo brand is expected to be the first to launch on the multi-channel software, which eGaming Review understands will go live by the end of this month.
Playtech has ceased development in Flash and is now offering a seamless HTML5 experience across desktop, tablet and mobile with the supplier reporting a 24% rise in bingo revenues in Q1 as a result of the sharper focus on mobile.
“In line with Playtech’s mobile-first strategy we are very excited by the launch of our new software, an HTML5 bingo and games turnkey gaming solution,” a Playtech spokesperson told eGR. “It couples Playtech’s award winning bingo and games content with the power of the Playtech IMS platform.
“In addition, it also provides a rapid and cost-effective route to market for small to medium-sized operators, launching a compelling player proposition from day one on the UK gaming industry’s biggest bingo network,” the spokesperson added.
8 Ball Games’ new Scarlet Bingo brand is expected to be the next product to launch on the software while the rest of Playtech’s clients will be migrated to the new platform over the coming months.
Earlier this year Playtech launched a bingo variant of its popular retail slot game Rainbow Riches in partnership with Scientific Games, a product Virtue Fusion’s COO Daniel Phillips told eGR in May had received investment of £0.5m.
