FSB Tech recruits new head of marketing from Catena Media
Chris Graham joins sportsbook supplier from Malta-based affiliate giant's horseracing content team
Sportsbook supplier FSB Technology has recruited a new chief operating officer (COO) and new head of marketing as the firm looks to scale up existing operations.
Former SG Digital account director Glenn Elliott has joined the business as COO after four years working within SG Digital’s OpenBet brand on several high-profile sportsbook accounts including Ladbrokes and Paddy Power Betfair.
A veteran of the industry, Elliott has also worked in senior roles for B2B supplier Nektan and at Probability PLC.
In his new role, Elliott will work with FSB’s existing management team on personnel and account development across regulated markets, reporting into FSB CEO Dave McDowell.
The role includes responsibility for the account management team, as well as full oversight of the company’s five operational service divisions: sports, platform, marketing, retail and SaaS hosting.
“Having someone of Glenn’s calibre is hugely valuable for the business, especially at a time when we are expanding into new markets, adding additional products and signing new partners,” said McDowell.
FSB Technology has also appointed former Catena Media head of horseracing Chris Graham as its new head of marketing.
Graham spent 10 months with the affiliate heavyweight, overseeing the day-to-day running of all Catena horseracing website properties. He has also worked as a sportsbook marketing manager for sportsbook operator 188BET.
In his new role, Graham will head up the firm’s B2B marketing efforts, as well as looking after FSB’s Marketing Services team which provides acquisition, retention and CRM support for clients.
McDowell said: “There are very few seasoned experts who know both marketing and sports betting and Chris is a rare find indeed.”
FSB Tech has been on a significant recruitment drive following its £23m cash injection from Canadian private equity fund Clairvest Group in July 2019.
The supplier has appointed individuals in several senior roles, including Andy Bowen as CFO, former Playtech director Rob Wheeler as its head of European and emerging markets sales team and former Kambi director Susan Ball as a non-executive director.
“We completed the Clairvest private equity transaction just over 12 months ago and have taken that time to recruit a top-notch management team and continue investment into our already market-leading technology.
“We now have the product, the capital and the team in place to scale,” explained McDowell.
EGR understands FSB Tech is currently recruiting two positions in the US for a head of US sales and a VP of US operations.
