Carousel Group boosts marketing team with two new hires
Nikos Lagonikas and Elisabetta Lerbini join in marketing roles at Madrid-based firm
Carousel Group, the operator behind soon-to-launch betting brands SportsBetting.com and RaceBook.com, has hired two former William Hill executives as the firm moves towards launch.
The latest recruits to join the Madrid-based company include Nikos Lagonikas as CRM manager and Elisabetta Lerbini as affiliate and acquisition manager.
Lagonikas joins from William Hill where he was CRM manager.
His role will see him plan, manage and deploy a global, multi-channel strategy for Carousel Group’s SportsBetting.com and RaceBook.com brands.
Lagonikas said: “Joining Carousel Group is a real honour and I look forward to using all of my skills, knowledge and experience to ensure that players stay engaged with our incredible SportsBetting.com and RaceBook.com brands.”
Elsewhere, Lerbini joins from advertising agency ATL where she held the role of client success manager, having previously managed affiliate campaigns for the likes of William Hill, Betsson and 888.
She will report directly to Edu Huarte, marketing director at Carousel Group.
“I am really excited to be joining the company as we gear up for launching our flagship brands and I look forward to playing a part in the journey to becoming global power players,” Lerbini said.
Carousel Group is backed by private equity and licenced in Malta, and will initially launch its two brands into LatAm and dotcom European markets.
The firm is also looking to launch the RaceBook brand in the UK to fill what it described as a “gap in the market” for a recreational racing product.
Daniel Graetzer, Carousel Group CEO, added: “I am delighted to welcome Elisabetta and Nikos to the team at such an exciting time for the business. Both were hand-picked, bring a wealth of experience and will be instrumental in the launch and ongoing success of our brands.”
Carousel also hired the former head of product for Gala Coral Phillip Wilson as COO earlier this year.
