Gambling.com Group has announced its first acquisition of 2018 after buying a mobile performance marketing network for £3m.
The acquired business, which EGR believes to be Happen Chances Limited although it was not officially disclosed, is a network of websites and mobile apps that specialise in gambling content for mobile users in a variety of different markets.
The network, developed by Sabin Brooks and Mike Webb, focuses on online casino and sports betting operators and revenues are primarily driven from the UK market.
The acquired assets have been consolidated from 1 January and are expected to generate sales of approximately €400k for Q1 with a profit margin of more than 90%. RB Capital Malta were the sell-side advisors.
Gambling.com Group CEO Charles Gillespie said: “Sabin and Mike are talented developers and have built a fascinating business which does something new and different.
“For us this was a rare opportunity to do an acquisition of a business that actually innovates and has defined a new segment of the market.
“I look forward to building and improving all of our products alongside Sabin and Mike.”
Gillespie recently spoke to EGR Marketing about the firm’s plans for 2018.
