Gaming Innovation Group to launch new brand
Malta-based firm to focus on gamification features with new online sportsbook and casino Rizk.com
Gaming Innovation Group (GIG) is planning to launch a new online sportsbook and casino brand in Q4 2015, with the product placing an emphasis on gamification and personalisation features.
Rizk.com will be the third product to launch on the Malta-based operator’s proprietary iGamingCloud platform, joining GIG’s Betspin.com and its flagship Guts.com brand.
The product will be backed by a new TV advertising campaign, a social media and affiliate marketing presence, and will largely be targeted at customers in the Nordics with a lesser focus on the Western European online gambling market.
Speaking with eGaming Review, GIG chief executive Robin Reed said the company was aiming to be “experimental” with the new product and was considering launching without any sign-up bonuses.
“Rizk is combining the best elements of a fun and engaging brand with some pretty cool gamification techniques,” he said.
“As we were progressing with the work on our proprietary platform iGamingCloud, we realised what a massive enabler it was for our ability to innovate through the use of the data gathered and gamification mechanisms,” Reed added.
Last month GIG announced an 88% year-on-year rise in revenues during Q2 2015 and its first quarterly profit under its new corporate entity following growth across its B2C, B2B and performance marketing businesses.
GIG was acquired by Nio Inc. in February for an unknown sum and in addition to owning Guts.com and iCloud Gaming, also owns marketing firm Innovation Labs and Candid Gaming which launched its BetSpin.com gaming site in January.
