Five minutes with... BetBright's Adam Spargo
This month's quickfire Q&A comes courtesy of BetBright's head of affiliates
Q: What makes BetBright Affiliates a great partner for affiliates?
A: We have a close relationship with all partners whether they’re delivering one player or 1,000 players. Support and communication are key attributes of the affiliate channel; we listen to our affiliates in terms of what works for their own sites and tailor promotional material accordingly.
Q: What changes have you made to BetBright Affiliates recently?
A: The support the affiliate programme has allows us to make changes all the time. We are constantly making small changes here and there to optimise performance, whether it’s for one affiliate in particular or changes across the board.
Q: Who is your business idol?
A: I wouldn’t say I have an idol, but Jamal Edwards MBE was the first that came to mind. He is a young entrepreneur who has used his passion and limited resources to build a company which is now backed by Sir Richard Branson.
Q: If you could work for any other business, which would it be?
A: Leeds United.
Q: What makes a good affiliate manager?
A: An effective communicator
Q: Describe what it is like to work for BetBright in three words.
A: Challenging (the good type), fun and entrepreneurial-spirited
Q: What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
A: Don’t eat that yellow snow.
Q: Which one place would you most like to visit and why?
A: Outer space, so I can look down on earth and realise how insignificant we really are.
Q: What is your favourite way to relax?
A: I recently got into acupuncture which I would highly recommend.
Q: What is your favourite book?
A: I’ve just come back from holiday where I read Elon Musk’s biography, which was the most interesting (and only) book I’ve read in a while.
Q: If you could have any super power for a day, what would it be and why?
A: Time travel – to land the world’s biggest acca and maybe a Euro Millions or two.
Q: What is top of your bucket list?
A: Wingsuit flying in the Alps.
Q: Which three people would you invite to your dream dinner party?
A: George Best, Notorious BIG and my Grandad Ken (he was a big fan of both).

Adam Spargo, head of affiliates at BetBright
My first egaming role came in 2011 as a VIP manager with Win Technologies when it was just Spin Palace Casino. During my time there I worked through to the affiliate team when Win Technologies acquired Betway. This gave me the opportunity to work on a brand more closely aligned with my own interests: sports. After Betway came the much publicised 666BET, which was a very interesting year to say the least. Head of affiliate roles at BGO and 188BET then led me to BetBright at the end of October.
