Catena continues sports betting push with new product launches
Lead generation firm debuts Livebetting.se site and releases a mobile app for recently-acquired SBAT brand
Catena Media has expanded its portfolio of sports-focused products with the launch of a new live scores mobile app and Sweden-facing live betting website.
The Malta-headquartered firm last week released a new mobile product for its SBAT brand, which Catena acquired in October in a deal worth up to €13.7m.
The mobile app, now available in the Apple App Store, covers live scores and statistics on football leagues from more than 35 countries, and enables users to save their top leagues and matches for quick access.
Catena Media also announced today the launch of Livebetting.se, which will offer customers previews and betting tips for major sports events, featuring Swedish football expert Sladjan Osmanagic.
“This is further proof of our ambition to develop one of the leading websites within the exciting and growing live betting segment,” Robert Andersson, CEO at Catena Media, said.
“Both Sladjan Osmanagic and Jonas Dahlquist are well known sports journalists combining experience and innovating ideas,” he added.
The product launches come after Catena Media recently kicked off a major push into the US egaming market via acquisitions of a number of affiliate websites for $15m (£11.8m).
The deal will see Catena Media acquire websites including playnj.com and uspoker.com from “three US founders”, which generate revenues from licensed operators in New Jersey and Nevada.
