A round-up of the latest launches and sign-ups in the egaming industry including NYX Gaming Group and NetEnt
NYX Gaming Group has announced the launch of its proprietary NYX OGS system and content to customers of its recently acquired Chartwell and CryptoLogic assets.
The games roll-out marks the latest step in the integration of the businesses after Toronto-based Amaya Gaming sold its B2B assets Chartwell and CryptoLogic to NYX last month for CA$150m (£80m).
“The completion of this pivotal integration is testiment to the strategic thinking behind the acquisition of the Amaya B2B business and the dedication of the NYX Gaming Group team,” Matt Davey, CEO at NYX Gaming Group, said.
“The availability of NYX OGS content to CGS operators further cements NYX’s leading position as one of the largest content and systems suppliers in the regulated iGaming market,” he added.
Alan Shearer (pictured) has signed a season-long deal with Coral to become the company’s first-ever football ambassador.
The former footballer turned media pundit will write a weekly blog for Coral on the hot topics and big stories in football, as well as making personal appearances at Coral events and engaging in customer-facing social media activity.
“Alan Shearer is one of the finest footballers of his generation and this is quite simply the biggest football signing in Coral’s history”, said Simon Clare, Coral PR Director.
NetEnt‘s Mega Fortune Dreams slot game paid out 3m to one lucky winner this week via Paf.com, the supplier’s sixth jackpot of over 1m this year.
The win came from a 40 cent stake via desktop and also represents Paf’s seventh largest pay out in its history.
“NetEnt’s innovative games provide players with more ways than ever to win, whether it’s at home or on the move,” Simon Hammon, chief product officer of NetEnt, said.
“This is just proof again that our pooled jackpot games change people’s lives for the better,” he added.
Slots provider Magnet Gaming has sealed a new deal with Danske Spil to provide Denmark’s largest egaming operator with its portfolio of slots games.
The deal will see Magnet initially supply eight slots titles, including Diamond Express and Golden Pyramid, with an additional eight games also in the pipeline.
“Supplying Danske Spil with our products is a real stamp of approval for us and we’re delighted to have reached an agreement,” head of game licensing, Thomas Nielsen, said.
“As we’ve seen elsewhere, our games are really appealing to casual, small-stake gamers, and we’re sure they will go down well on the big stage too,” Nielsen added.
Aggregator and platform provider Starfish Media has signed a deal with Genii to integrate the gaming technology supplier’s entire games catalogue.
Starfish Media will have access to Genii’s portfolio of over 130 games, as well as its new Spin16 product range.
“We’ve signed an incredible amount of deals in such a short space of time and we’ve been blown away by how the market has responded to our offering,” Nick Barr, Genii sales director, said.
“Spin16 has been the perfect Trojan horse to go to operators and aggregators with, but what we’re increasingly finding is that they want to take our entire portfolio,” Barr continued.
Betfair has ramped up its rugby union coverage in its iOS sportsbook app as part of a big upgrade in time for the start of the Rugby World Cup.
The firm described its in-app rugby offer as “massively improved” and sees it place greater emphasis on the sport with a dedicated World Cup portal and additional markets.
Also included in the update is the addition of video streaming content to the cash out page as it continues to try and innovate within the cash out product offering.
Last month Betfair added partial cash to mobile for the first time and advertises its app with the tag-line “the home of cash out”, with the addition of further video content designed to keep users in-app for longer.
Coral has signed up former Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan to lead its Twitter coverage during the latest season of the popular TV dance competition.
As part of the deal the professional ballroom dancer will join Coral to regularly tweet ahead of each programme to provide his views on the competition and promote Coral’s latest odds.
“Everyone has an opinion but with James Jordan he’s speaking from experience as he clocked up 11 series as a leading professional on Strictly Come Dancing, as well as a stint on Celebrity Big Brother,” Coral’s head of social media, Tania Seif, said.
“James is fearless when it comes to telling us what he thinks, that’s why James will be a fantastic addition to Coral’s social media team this autumn,” she added.
