Sporting Solutions teams up with Metric for in-play service
Deal gives supplier access to more in-play pricing feeds while supporting Metric's move into sportsbook platform business
Sporting Solutions has reached an agreement with Metric Gaming to distribute its in-play pricing feeds as the supplier looks to expand its live betting product.
The deal will give Sporting Solutions, whose clients have included William Hill, Betfred and Sky Betting and Gaming, access to feeds from the in-play specialists, while in return Metric will receive pricing and content solutions to supplement its move into the sportsbook platform business.
“We are focused on meeting our current and future partners’ aspirations for leading in-play coverage, additional content, innovation and quick product delivery, and were naturally drawn to Metric’s exciting portfolio of services,” Sporting Solutions’ business development director Ronnie Whelan said.
“We see many obvious synergies between our companies, and look forward to exploring all of the opportunities we expect this partnership to yield,” he added.
Metric CEO Peter Bertilsson said the deal will give the firm access to a “valuable customer distribution network”.
“Our market research has definitively shown an industry appetite to shed legacy technology in favor of advanced, mobile-first platforms like ours, which can seamlessly handle the types of in-play, instant-gratification wagering opportunities that are taking over the betting landscape,” Bertilsson, said.
Sporting Solutions has been looking to develop its in-play offer of late, and last year entered a deal with data service provider RunningBall for more live betting content.
The supplier forms part of the Sporting index Group, which was recently acquired by a private group led by businessman Magnus Hedman.
