Caesars Interactive tops eGR North America Power 25
Las Vegas-based operator takes crown in inaugural ranking of North America's most powerful gaming operators
Caesars Interactive has topped the inaugural eGR North America Power 25, a list of the most powerful and influential real-money, social casino and daily fantasy sports operators in the US and Canada.
The list was compiled in collaboration with boutique research firm Eilers Research, data partner dystillr and an independent panel of judges to assess the relative strengths and weaknesses of each firm.
Each company is ranked based on revenues, scale, influence and product offering, and on financial data and input from our judging panel.
Caesars Interactive’s credentials were boosted by three key acquisitions – Playtika, Buffalo Studios and Pacific Interactive – which enabled the operator to build unrivalled scale and scope over its rivals in a short space of time.
Based on financial numbers alone Caesars deserved to take the crown, reporting H1 revenues of $363m and EBITDA of $132.1m.
The operator continues to excel in converting paying users, with monthly unique players up almost 80% YoY to 960,000 in Q2 and average revenues per user per day increasing from $0.26 to $0.31.
Caesars is also a force to be reckoned with on mobile, boasting Q2 revenues of $97.8m, with a pretty even split between Android and iOS.
And while the bulk of CIE’s revenues come from its social casino division, its real-money gaming business continues to perform well in the tough RMG markets of Nevada and New Jersey.
Caesars undoubtedly defines what it means to be a successful online egaming operator in 2015 and, given just how far the gaming giant is ahead of its rivals, will certainly take some catching over the next 12 months.
