NHL extends partnership with MGM Resorts and BetMGM ahead of All-Star Weekend
Multi-year extension comes as MGM Resorts prepares to host NHL All-Star festivities in Vegas
The NHL has formally extended its wide-ranging partnership with MGM Resorts and BetMGM in a multi-year deal.
The announcement comes as MGM Resorts prepares to host NHL All-Star Weekend festivities at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on February 4 and 5.
As part of the extension, MGM Resorts remains an official resort partner of the NHL, with BetMGM retaining its status as one of the league’s official sports betting partners.
Both entities will continue to be integrated into the NHL’s headline events and prominently featured across the league’s digital channels.
“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with MGM Resorts and BetMGM,” said NHL group vice president, partnership marketing Evin Dobson.
“Our extension enables us to continue to work together on delivering innovative content programming to connect with our passionate fans.”
“Our partnership with the NHL has been a tremendous success, allowing us to provide guests and hockey fans with unparalleled access to their favorite teams,” added MGM Resorts SVP, sports & sponsorships Lance Evans.
“Alongside BetMGM, we remain committed to helping the league grow its audience, while offering fans new and entertaining experiences.”
Events represent a key component of the extended partnership, as both MGM Resorts and BetMGM will continue to have a steady presence at the NHL’s jewel events via camera-visible signage and on-site activation opportunities.
That includes several special events at MGM’s Las Vegas Strip properties over All-Star Weekend.
The brands will also have the ability to connect with fans through the NHL’s online database and will be able to leverage the league’s complement of media channels – highlighted by MGM Resorts’ sponsorship of the All-Star ‘First-Timers’ across the NHL’s social platforms, as well as the integration of BetMGM odds within the NHL Network’s ‘Showcase Odds’ segment.
“This collaboration allows BetMGM to deliver the best-in-class hockey product, including a wide-variety of NHL wagering options,” said BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt.
“We will continue to work with the league to reach new fans as we expand into new markets.”
