William Hill overhauls mobile sportsbook app
Operator's new iOS app features a complete redesign and the integration of Touch ID technology
William Hill has overhauled its mobile sportsbook app to include a raft of new features and a complete redesign in-line with its new responsive front-end website.
The operator’s new William Hill Live Sports Betting iOS app was launched in the Apple App Store yesterday featuring a cleaner layout and a similar design to that currently being rolled-out on desktop under Project Trafalgar.
Customers can login to the App using their fingerprints instead of a password after integrating Apple’s Touch ID, which was first utilised by Sky Betting and Gaming last year to speed-up the login process.
The app also has live chat functionality, a service previously only available on desktop, while customers can also seamlessly login to the operator’s casino and bingo apps.
The firm said the overhaul, which has helped the company take greater control over customer-facing elements of the site, would enable it to deliver a greater level of innovation.
“Trafalgar is not only an update to the look and feel of our website – delivering cleaner navigation, new features, faster in-play price updates and a consistent experience across devices – but it gives us complete control of our front-end website, creating a platform that can deliver ongoing innovation and personalisation for our customers,” a William Hill spokesperson said.
The launch comes after William Hill last week announced the release of three new native iOS apps offering a softer, fast-paced take on sports betting.
The three apps – ‘Cheer Me Up’, ‘Rapid’ and ‘Yes/No’ – were created by a small team of developers working in WHLabs and following a limited roll-out initially are expected to receive a wider launch later this year.
