Playtech launches multi-channel Top Gun slot
Supplier obtains rights to iconic 1980s film to add to its vast games portfolio
Playtech had added to its growing portfolio of online games after launching a multi-channel slot game based on the iconic 1980s film Top Gun.
The 2-4-3 ways slot has been made available to all Playtech licensees and features special bonus rounds which include original action clips from the film which stars actor Tom Cruise.
Playtech said the timing of the launch “could not be better” with 2016 marking the film’s 30th anniversary while work is underway for a long-awaited sequel where Cruise is expected to return as Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell.
“This iconic movie was the ideal choice for a premium branded game and is sure to be a hit for all our casino licensees and their players across all channels and devices, delivering, as we do with every title and every product, the ultimate gaming experience,” Shimon Akad, Playtech COO, said.
The release of Top Gun adds to Playtech’s extensive portfolio of omni-channel casino content – the firm currently delivers more than 500 titles across all channels, platforms and devices.
And as part of the supplier’s Playtech ONE omni-channel offering, the casino product enables players to access content anywhere, at any time and on any device through a single wallet and single account.
Playtech client Mecca Bingo recently went live with the supplier’s omni-channel solution, which included the launch of the Mecca Max tablet devices in the operator’s bingo halls.
Last month Playtech announced a 47% increase in Q3 revenues with its gaming arm up 23%.
