William Hill hires Adam French to lead bingo overhaul
Former head of bingo at MeccaBingo.com joins operator as senior bingo operations manager
William Hill has appointed MeccaBingo.com’s former head of bingo Adam French to the operator’s newly created senior bingo operations manager role, eGaming Review has learned.
French, who took up the new Gibraltar-based role earlier this month, will report into director of gaming operations Nick Gabriel and take on responsibility for executing the operator’s plans to overhaul its bingo offering.
As reported by eGR in September, William Hill is aiming to revitalise its bingo product with a new website, leveraging its proprietary slots games and launching new bespoke and branded bingo content.
French joins William Hill in the same month the operator’s former head of bingo Robert Sadler joined Rank Interactive to head up operations at its Mecca brand.
“It’s an exciting opportunity and a chance to re-establish the William Hill Bingo offering and position in the market,” French told eGR.
“I will be focused on improving some of the basics and building up to some key developments later next year,” he continued.
Prior to joining William Hill, French worked for seven years at Rank having first joined the operator in October 2008 as direct marketing coordinator.
He was later appointed direct marketing manager before taking up the role of MeccaBingo.com product manager and later head of bingo for the product.
Last year William Hill bingo revenues were down 2% to approximately £25m and also recently reported a 5% year-on-year fall in revenues during Q3.
