The acquisition comes just weeks after Unikrn revealed movie star Ashton Kutcher has invested in the firm through his Sound Ventures business, taking its total capital raised to around $10m.
eSports is a rapidly growing industry in the US and indeed globally, with Eilers Research predicting more than $295m will be wagered on contests this year alone.
Unikrn offers real-money wagers in markets such as Australia, Ireland, the UK, while its recently launched social betting platform is available globally.
