NetEnt makes splash in New Jersey
Supplier to make US debut after signing deal to provide games to Borgata Casino, Borgata Poker and PartyPoker
NetEnt has agreed terms to provide its full suite of online casino games to a trio of bwin.party-powered brands in the state of New Jersey as the supplier prepares for its long-awaited debut in US market.
The Stockholm-listed firm will supply games in both desktop and mobile format for bwin.party, which operates the online gaming platform supporting the Borgata Casino, Borgata Poker and PartyPoker brands in the state.
The deal is subject to NetEnt gaining a B2B license from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement, which the supplier said is expected to be awarded in Q3.
Bjorn Krantz, managing director of NetEntâs US division, said he was âvery excitedâ to have signed the deal with both bwin.party and the Borgata and was now focusing on the lead-up to launch.
âSubject to approval from the Division of Gaming Enforcement, all parties are now collaborating closely to secure a successful integration and preparation for a commercial launch,â Krantz said.
âI am confident that we will be able to support Borgata and bwin.party in their ambitions to provide the very best experience to their players,â he added.
According to Steve Nathan, vice president of marketing at the Borgata, the decision to agree terms with NetEnt was made easier due to NetEntâs track record within its own core markets.
âWe are very impressed by NetEntâs performance in Europe, and their ability to deliver the highest degree of portfolio innovation and creativity,â Nathan said.
NetEnt has long had one eye on the US and last year restructured the business though the set-up of subsidiary company NetEnt Americas soon after CEO Per Eriksson told eGaming Review it was the âright timeâ to enter the market.
