BET99 becomes latest member of IBIA
Canadian firm signs up following its launch in Ontario earlier this year
BET99 has joined the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) as its latest member after it was recently approved to offer online gambling services in Ontario.
The Canada-based operator will sign up to provide information to the IBIA as part of the wider global betting integrity monitoring and alert network, which features a number of regulated operators.
The IBIA has longstanding partnerships with leading sports governing bodies including FIFA, UEFA and the IOC and uses information from them and its member operators, which account for over 50% of global regulated betting turnover, to aid in preventing and aiding investigations and prosecute corruption.
André Bewerungen, head of sportsbook for BET99, said: “Joining IBIA is critical to our sportsbook strategy, in which trust, integrity and protection are prioritised for our Canadian customers.”
Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, added: “IBIA is delighted to welcome BET99 to the association. The move highlights BET99’s commitment to integrity and further cements IBIA as the leading integrity monitor in Ontario, with more than 75% of licensed betting operators having joined the association.”
In its Q3 integrity report, IBIA announced that there were 76 suspicious alerts reported from 29 different countries and covering eight different sports.
BET99 recently announced former Italy and Toronto FC star Sebastian Giovinco as a global ambassador just in time for the World Cup.
