Sportradar hires new head of integrity services and harm prevention for North America
Former National Collegiate Athletic Association senior executive adds experience to key US role for sports data firm
Global sports data and technology company Sportradar has announced it will be strengthening its ranks with the appointment of Jim Brown as head of integrity and harm prevention for North America.
The company, which operates in over 120 countries, will task Brown with the development of its integrity services, with the role having a particular focus on sports markets in the US, where Sportradar counts the NBA, NHL, MLB and NASCAR among its official partners.
Brown arrives having previously been managing director of enterprise risk management at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Prior to working with the NCAA, Brown held several internal and senior auditor roles at Anthem Inc.
Speaking on the challenges offered by his new role, Brown said: “As new sports betting markets open up across the United States, the need for robust and resilient integrity services has never been greater.
“Sportradar sets the standard in our industry and I’m excited to join the team to lead the development of offerings that will protect the integrity of competitions and safeguard the well-being of athletes.”
In his new position, Brown will report to managing director of integrity services Andreas Krannich.
Welcoming Brown to the team, Krannich commented: “Integrity is not a check-the-box exercise, but a complex strategic service that blends process, regulation and education and is driven by technology. Jim has a proven track record in bringing these elements to life and we’re thrilled to bring him aboard.”
