Will Hill Australia completes Tom Waterhouse migration
Centrebet is now only Aussie brand not sitting on operator's core platform
William Hill has completed the migration of TomWaterhouse.com.au customers to its core WilliamHill.com.au platform as the operator aims to unify all its Australia-facing brands before the end of the year.
eGaming Review understands the integration finished on Thursday 28 January, in line with the operator’s target of completing the migration before the end of the Australian Open, of which it was a major sponsor.
The move comes nearly one year after the operator moved Sportingbet Australia under the William Hill moniker, with its Centrebet business also set to follow at some point during 2016.
“I made the decision to go to the William Hill brand in February [2015] and it’s certainly paid dividends,” Group CEO, James Henderson, told EGR following its recent 2015 trading update.
“So we are ahead of expectations after only nine months which can only bode well for the future,” Henderson added.
Last month the operator reported a 20% fall in net revenues from its Australia-facing business during 2015, although the firm said recent trading had been “encouraging” with Q4 producing a 46% increase in active customers and a 221% increase in new accounts.
