Playtech takes over supply of Austrian poker network
Playtech has agreed terms with win2day to take over supply of Austria’s regulated online poker network.
The initial three-year deal will see the gaming supplier work with the Austrian Lotteries and Casinos Austria-owned win2day brand to replace existing suppliers and deliver a bespoke desktop and mobile-enabled poker platform.
The platform will be launched in mid-March and will be the latest operator to go live on Playtech’s update iPoker client, with Coral and bet365 recently switching to the software.
Playtech said the new software boasts vastly improved poker table options, a series of new game views and a raft of personalisation features.
Pinnacle unveils streamlined mobile site
Pinnacle Sports has launched a new streamlined mobile site designed to offer users a faster, easier experience.
The Curacao-based firm said it has made “huge improvements” to screen loading times on the updated platform, which has been made available to its global customer base.
The upgrade has also seen the addition of in-running data and visual dashboards, which the firm said would appeal to the in-play punter.
PokerStars launches new Duel mobile app
PokerStars is continuing on its mission to attract more casual players with the launch of its latest mobile poker app, Duel by PokerStars.
The app, which has been developed exclusively for iOS and Android, has been beta launched in Norway with plans for a wider roll-out in the coming months.
Duel by PokerStars is based on the mechanics of no limit hold’em and allows players to go one-on-one with friends or other challengers from around the world.
The app sees players compete with opponents over a set number of hands and whoever has the highest score at the end wins the duel.
Betfair boosts online casino with new games deal
Betfair has bolstered its online casino offering by striking a deal with GECO Gaming to integrate the supplier’s remote game server into its platform.
Under the deal, Betfair players will gain access to a raft of new games including bespoke titles from The Games Co such as ‘Two Tribes’ and ‘Witch of the West’.
Betfair will also receive a number of proprietary titles from GECO’s in-house development studio in Australia, plus third party content from Bet Digital, Games Warehouse, MX Digital and CORE Gaming.
Aspire Global joins forces with Microgaming
Aspire Global has reached an agreement with Microgaming to integrate the supplier’s Quickfire platform into its portfolio of games.
Malta-based Aspire said the deal would allow it to offer its partners a raft of new games including Gaming of Thrones, Thunderstruck and Terminator 2.
Aspire and its partners will also gain access to Quickfire’s promotional tools) such as achievements, bet settings and free games.
Yggdrasil submits Gibraltar licence application
Yggdrasil Gaming has submitted an application with the Gibraltar Licensing Authority to obtain a B2B remote gaming permit and expects the process to be finalised shortly.
The Malta-based supplier was awarded a similar licence by the GB Gambling Commission back in December, allowing it to offer its platform and game content to UK players.
“We were over the moon to be invited to apply for a Gibraltar licence,” Yggdrasil CEO Fredrik Elmqvist, said.
It’s an exclusive jurisdiction, with a number of the major operators based there, and we believe it will be a fantastic new hunting ground for us.”
CORE Gaming rolls out new slot with Sky Vegas
CORE Gaming plans to give players “the full Nevada casino experience” following the launch of its latest slots title, Vegas Lights.
The game is already live on Sky Vegas, and has been developed in HTML5 so is available on desktop and mobile devices.
CORE Gaming said its latest title was packed with amazing graphics, state of the art animations and sound effects and two “gigantic” bonus reels.
Quickspin and SBTech strike strategic partnership
Swedish slots supplier Quickspin has joined forces with SBTech to make its content available to customers via its fellow supplier.
The content roll-out will include a number new releases such as Razortooth, Second Strike, and the forthcoming Genie’s Touch.
Quickspin CEO, Daniel Lindberg, said: “We’re delighted to have reached an agreement with SBTech. It will be very beneficial to both companies.”
