Leon House launches online gambling treatment service for UK players
AnonyMind allows for anonymous psychiatric assessment of at-risk individuals by more than 120 UK psychiatrists and psychologists
UK residential gambling addiction centre Leon House has launched AnonyMind, the UK’s first registered online gambling treatment platform for at-risk gamblers.
The service provides a full, impartial and anonymous psychiatric assessment of individuals, identifying any potential issues with gambling-related harm prior to treatment taking place.
The AnonyMind online platform features advice and guidance from more than 120 trained consultants working with a network of psychiatrists and psychologists.
Individuals requiring further treatment beyond the AnonyMind service can then be referred to the Leon House facility, which provides ‘short burst’ treatment designed around the individual’s lifestyle and personal commitments.
The clinic, which can accommodate 40 individuals per week, has a 100% treatment completion rate. Every individual receives a personalised treatment pathway, delivered either in-house, as an outpatient or through AnonyMind’s secure digital platform.
AnonyMind has been created in collaboration with Harley Street mental health and addiction treatment provider Cognacity and gambling harm minimisation consultancy EPIC Risk Management.
Leon House and AnonyMind have also confirmed the launch of mental health and resilience workshops for in-house player protection and marketing teams.
Leon House COO Chris Metcalf highlighted the recent £100m pledge by the Betting and Gaming Council to GambleAware as proof of the “real commitment” by the industry to help and support problem gamblers.
“Now, with the launch of AnonyMind by Leon House, these same operators will be able to offer free, anonymous, 24/7 professional counselling to their players via video calls for the first time ever and residential treatment at Leon House should it be required,” said Metcalf.
“We’re looking forward to working with more UK operators as we go through the year” he added.
