Sky Betting & Gaming named in top 100 companies to work for
Sky Betting & Gaming (SB&G) has been named in The Sunday Times’ Best 100 Companies to Work For list, with the Leeds-headquartered operator ranked at number 94.
The firm, which was the only gaming company to feature in the list, gained a top-20 score for staff satisfaction with pay and benefits – 45% of SB&G’s 666 staffers earn more than ?35,000.
“We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised by such a prestigious awards scheme,” Rob Painter, SB&G’s brand and HR Director, said.
“To be the only firm in the gaming sector to make the list is fantastic achievement, even more so when you consider we’ve only been an independent company for 11 months. Everyone at Sky Betting & Gaming should be proud to be part of such a great team.”
SB&G also won a special learning and development award for its Tech Ninja Fund, which provides each of the 400 strong members of SB&G’s technology team ?1000 to spend on anything they like to develop their career and skills.
Paddy Power Betfair partners with SafeCharge
Paddy Power Betfair has joined forces with SafeCharge in a move to bolster payment processing.
Under the deal, the operator will integrate SafeCharge’s Personalised Cashier tool into the Betfair platform by the end of April.
SafeCharge said its solution makes it easier for players to deposit and withdraw funds, whether playing at home or while on the go.
“We selected SafeCharge due to their proven and extensive experience in the online gaming industry and the superiority of their technology,” Paddy Power Betfair head of payments Stephen Moffatt, said.
“They were able to provide us with a simple integration, a superior front-end Cashier solution and a quick and easy method to add multiple alternative payment methods.”
R Franco acquires controlling stake on Mediatech Solutions
The R Franco Group has acquired a controlling stake in Mediatech solutions in bid to create a land-based and online gaming supplier giant in Spain.
R Franco will integrate Mediatech’s IRIS platform and its 1,500 games, having taken a majority stake in the combined entity.
Mediatech’s management remaining in place at their headquarters in Madrid.
“The acquisition of Mediatech Solutions provides us with a market-leading online platform and the opportunity to further expand the Group’s digital footprint, R Franco CEO Pedro Melendo, said.
“The Spanish market will be transforming due to regulatory changes in the next few years and Franco’s ambition is to remain market leaders.”
Vermanita enters the Romanian market
Virtual games supplier Vermantia has entered the Romanian market for the first time after signing a deal with Get’s Bet.
Under the deal, Get’s Bet will have access to Vermantia’s 12 virtual sports games, which will launch across the operators 400 land-based locations and online sites.
“Through this agreement, we hope to establish a long standing partnership with Get’s Bet, by offering leading gaming alternatives to meet the ever increasing demands of Romanian players,” Vermantia COO Thanos Panousis, said.
BetVictor makes big data push with Talend
BetVictor is looking to gain greater insight into customer behaviour and boost its real-time predictive capabilities after joining forces with big data specialist Talend.
The operator said it was a data driven organisation and the ability to harness data in real time would help drive growth.
“Our ultimate aim is to create an end-to-end data organism that enables us to turn complex business requirements into commercially driven initiatives,” BetVictor head of business intelligence and analytics, Kris Marshall, said.
Happy Birthday LeoVegas
LeoVegas has celebrated the second anniversary of its UK launch as it continues to push forward with plans to launch a sportsbook in the market.
The operator said it had been “quite a year” having launched three major TV campaigns, plus scooping “Slots Operator of the Year” at the EGR Operator Awards.

NetEnt takes its portfolio up a gear with new slots launch
NetEnt has launched its latest slot, Drive: Multiplier Mayhem in which players ‘race’ against three rivals in a bid to level up.
The five-reel, three-row, 15-line slot, includes a Nitro collect meter, free spins and a multiplier that can reach up to a massive 120x the original stake.
Collecting Nitro symbols will help progress through each step of the game.
Habanero introduces new Asian-themed slot
Habanero has launched a new HTML5 game themed around the Chinese God of Fortune.
Fa Cai Shen gives players the opportunity to double their winnings in a “beat the dealer” side game, and is designed for multiple platforms in HTML5.

Leander and Genii strike content distribution partnership
Platform supplier Leander has reach an agreement with content supplier Geniii to distribute its portfolio of more than 130 games.
The content will be distributed across the casino and gaming market via integration with LeGa, Leander’s remote gaming server.
“We are delighted to introduce Genii’s diverse portfolio of games to the LeGa offering, Steven Matsell, CEO at Leander Games, said.
“It allows us to further broaden our offering to operators, particularly with the addition of Spin16, a stand-out product range,” he added.
